I always let the kids pick their costumes. If there is a theme somewhere, I try to find it. This year it was Ben 10. Noah dressed up as Swampfire and Elijah was Heatblast.
Trick or Treating was done on base this year...TWO nights in a row. Because the 31st fell on a Sunday, some people/bases did it on Saturday night, while others stuck with the 31st. So, we just hit up two bases:-) Kadena Air Base on Saturday and Camp Lester on Sunday.
We went with the Khorassani kids on Kadena: Talia, Cameron and Soraya.
Instead of carving pumpkins, we did the easy route: Mr. Potatoe Head Style!
Elijah's on the left lost an ear. Noah's is on the right.
Another cool and fun thing (but also a lot of work!) that we did was make Haunted Houses. The craft center hosted the event.
I let the kids do most of it themselves. I just was there to correct or make them move faster. I also did all the glue-ing.

I volunteered in Elijah's classroom for their fall festival. There were arts and crafts and they decorated cookies. We also got to eat pumpkin pie:-)
