Okinawa World

We visited Okinawa World in September 2o10. It is a touristy theme park about Okinawan culture. There are three main attractions: the Gyokusendo Cave, the Kingdom Village, and the Habu Park.
Our first stop: the Habu Park. The habu museum was interesting.
The picture below is a tree branch with a stuffed snake on it...showing how long they can be.
The habu vs. mongoose
Even though the entire snake show was in Japanese, we pretty much could figure out what they were saying because of what was displayed or their actions. It was pretty cool.
We got to take a picture with a huge python at the end of the show:-)
We went to the village next. They had a habu brewery there. That was cool to see too.
Habu sake...look closely. This medium bottle is ¥44,100=around $450!!
Caramel and Pilsner malt for the beer:-)
I got in trouble like 3 times for taking video and pictures during a re-enactment of a traditional Ryuku Eisa/Taiko Drum performance and play. :-(
Glass blowing!!!
Onto the cave to see the stalagmites and stalagtites!!
Overall, I would say Okinawa World was worth going to. It was a great family outing, and we got to see some interesting things.
