February 2010

February came and went very fast. Tim left for another deployment, which resulted in another Valentine's Day apart. We had a 7.0 magnitude earthquake 80km offshore...which caused a tsunami warning and mandatory evacuation. The actual earthquake itself was quite alarming. I wasn't quite sure what to do. Grab the kids and get in the tub, bend over against the wall and cover our necks with our hands, scream??? Well, I didn't have any time to do anything anyway. By the time my mind realized, "This is an earthquake!! What do I do!?!", it was over. We had a few decorations on tables shook off and one picture fell off the wall, but it was far enough away from shore to do any real damage.

Lorelei and I "husbandless" on Valentine's Day. For the second year in a row, we went to a murder mystery dinner together.

Our church had a retreat at Okuma.

Elijah wrote this in the sand with a stick...made my heart melt!

Keystone Retreat 2010

When we were told to evacuate from our apartment because it was on the beach and head to higher ground during the tsunami warning, we went to Kadena and did a little ceramics painting.

Fun!!
