I love to listen to Elijah practice piano. His yearly recital is in January. 

He did great!!

Having fun at the beach near American Village.

American Village added new buildings with new stores. A perfect place for picture taking. I wish I was a photographer so I could have taken advantage of the scenery!!

Out for my bday at "The Bar Next Door" with the owner, Kazumi, and Tim's friend, Dan Thomas. 

We went to a comedy magic show for my birthday. Our good friend Nima got picked to be a volunteer:-)

Being silly at American Village...

I kept going on Mabuyer's website over and over and copying and pasting to a translation website to find out if and when they would be putting on a show anywhere near us anytime. Eventually my investigating paid off. They put on a 30 minute show at Jusco one day!

The kids LOVED it! There's nothing like local Japanese Superheroes!

New Year's Day at Shuri Castle

We went to Shuri Castle on New Year's Say. Each year they have an event that is a re-enactment of the traditional New Year ceremony originally held early in the morning on New Year's Day, attended by the king, the royal family, and senior court officials. Court dances and other Ryukyuan dances are performed to add to the New Year mood. Visitors are offered free tea and amazakei to celebrate the New Year. The tea was GROSS!

The kids had a fun time getting stamps at all the different stations.
